For those new to it, PedalPGH it is an annual charity bike ride supporting BikePGH and an absolute blast to participate in. This year it will be Sunday, August 24 and for more information and registration details, head on over to https://pedalpgh.org/
This year, GIVE UP will be hosting a series of training rides leading up to PedalPGH this summer starting on June 15th. These rides will start at about 27 flat miles and work their way up progressively every two weeks until they get to about 55 hilly miles. This is a good chance to get ready for the 40 and 62 mile routes, get some city biking miles in with a group, and just maybe make some new friends to ride PedalPGH with in August.
For all rides, you should bring a bike in good working order. If you have any questions about your bike or need pointers on how to get it back into riding condition, feel free to text me (412.616.4937.) You should also bring a helmet, water bottles, snacks, and preferably spare innertubes that fit your tires. (We generally have folks who can change tires on every ride, but it's a lot easier to do if we have spares that fit)
We will be meeting at the parking lot of the East End Brewing Popup Beergarden (1836 Oxline St, PGH PA 15233.)
We will be starting the first ride at 10:30am and will likely be starting a bit earlier in future rides to avoid too much time in the afternoon sun.
Any questions about this ride series can be texted to me: 412.616.4937
