HEY THERE - we’re back for the THIRD annual Trash Bag Century, taking place on September 13 2026. We’re planning another great event this year and bringing back our finish line party at the East End Brewing Popup. Everything you need to know about this event can be found on this page and we will be updating regularly up until event day.

FOR 2026 we will only officially be doing a 100 mile route and abandoning an official 82 mile route. I think one person did the 82 mile route last year and only a handful did it the year before that. In the interest of putting resources and volunteers in the right place, this is solely a hundred mile event this year. Sorry. It’ll still be fun.

The route is found at the following link. As this is a particularly long route, you can assume that there will be minor (and hopefully not major) changes between now and the day of the event. Please make sure you check for updates before loading it onto your computer.

We can only do this ride every year because we have a ton of volunteers. If cranking out 100 miles on a random Sunday in September sounds like a bit too much, maybe consider volunteering. Our volunteer application is here:

We try to keep GIVE UP as free as possible to make it accessible to as many people as possible, and as such, this event is 100% free. Insurance, aid station supplies, and 26 foot rainbow arches cost money, though.
